Benissa, located on the Costa Blanca, is distinguished by its serene atmosphere and a collection of beautiful, often tranquil coves. Unlike the hustle and bustle of larger cities, Benissa offers an escape for those seeking calm and natural beauty on the coast.
This article takes you through the unique characteristics of the different coves (calas) of Benissa. We describe each beach so you know exactly where to go to find the perfect spot for your day by the sea.

Calas in Benissa
1.Cala Baladrar 🔷
Cala Baladrar is a pebbly beach with clear waters, ideal for snorkeling and swimming. The beach offers beautiful views of the surrounding area, including the Rock of Calpe.
Access to the water can be tricky because of the large pebbles. There is a restaurant above the beach with a terrace and view. Parking is limited, so arriving early is recommended.

2. Cala Advocat
Cala Advocat in Benissa is a small, picturesque cove with both rocky and sandy sections. The location offers, from a short pier, fine views of the coastline and is accessed by stairs.
Parking is available, although it can be full during busy periods. The beach bar/restaurant L’Espigó Xiringuito is located between the beach and the parking lot. The clarity of the water makes it a suitable place for snorkeling.

3. Cala Llobella
Cala Llobella in Benissa is a secluded cove known for its natural beauty. The beach consists mainly of large stones, which can make access to the water difficult.
Despite the rocky surface, the water is clear and full of fish, making the bay ideal for snorkeling. The bay is less crowded and there are no facilities, so visitors should provide their own supplies. Although there is limited parking, the access road to the beach is steep and narrow.

4. Cala Pinets
Cala Pinets in Benissa is a small, picturesque cove known for its clear waters and rocky surroundings. It is an excellent place for snorkeling and offers several rock pools.
Along the coast is a walking path with beautiful views, although it is not suitable for cycling because of the many stairs. There is ample parking nearby. Please note that there is little shade and water shoes are recommended for comfort.

5. Cala de la Fustera 🔷.
Cala de la Fustera, also known as Playa Benissa, is a beautiful sandy beach with a slightly coarser type of sand. The water is clear and invites swimming and snorkeling, although there may be rocks in the water.
Right on the beach is a restaurant where you can go for a snack and a drink. Parking is available at the beach, but during busy periods it may be wise to park here and walk along the shoreline. This beach is also an excellent starting point for the ecological coastal walking trail.

6. Cala de les Bassetes
Cala de les Bassetes is a quiet pebbly cove on the north side of the coast of Calpe, bordering Benissa. With a length of 70 meters and calm, clear waters, it is an ideal place to relax.
From here you have a unique view of the Peñón de Ifach. The bay is perfect for diving and fishing, and nearby you will find the Les Bassetes marina with various facilities. In short, a hidden gem for lovers of tranquility and marine life.
