Althaia, the ancient name for Altea, is of Greek origin and means I heal. This is the core of the philosophy: the beers are 100% natural, full of nutritional value and made only with ingredients of the highest quality. The origins of Cervezas Althaia

The story of Cervezas Althaia begins with Mayte and Jorge; Mayte moved to Alicante for a career in the wine world, where she met Jorge. Jorge, who was already brewing beers, shared his dream: to live off his passion for brewing beer. Together they dove into the world of craft beer. They haven’t left it since.

Located in the industrial area in Altea

The Cervezas Althaia brewery is located in the industrial area of Altea, towards Albir. It is located parallel to the N-332 road. Address details: Partida el Planet, 196, 03590 Altea, Alicante, Spain.

The site consists of:

• A store/shop (with a wide range of beers, including chilled);
• The brewery (where you can take a tour) and;
• A tap room (with terrace).

The shop and beer selection

In the shop, you will be personally assisted in finding your perfect beer. The assortment consists of:

• Some Imprescindibles(Essentials).
• The Ilustres(Specialty beers)
• The Inimitable(Inimitable)
• TheIrrepetibles and
• A number of non-alcoholic and gluten-free beers.

Get a tour of the brewery

You’ve probably tasted many craft beers. But have you ever seen the production process up close? Cervezas Althaia invites you to a unique experience at their brewery in Altea.

The tour consists of:

• Brewery access;
• Tasting different Althaia beers;
• Explaining the process of brewing beer;
• Gaining an understanding of the differences between craft and industrial beers;

They also speak English, everyone is welcome! Tours are available on Friday afternoon, Saturday all day and Sunday morning. The price is €25 per person.

Beer tasting in the Tap Room

Visit the exclusive Tap Room with terrace, which overlooks the brewery. Enjoy your Althaia beer straight from the brewery while your favorite beers are brewed. The Tap Room is open on:

• Friday: 16:00 to 00:00;
• Saturday: 11:00 a.m. to 00:00 a.m;
• Sunday: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In addition to fresh beers, they serve 100% local and artisanal products including pizzas and sandwiches. They also have craft soft drinks and a special kids’ corner.
