Who is the entrepreneur Evita?
Hi, my name is Evita, 37 years old, married and mother of Rosa and Senna. We have been living in sunny Spain since the summer of 2025!
Enthusiasm, personal attention and creating valuable connections are central to everything I do, both privately and in my work. I love the warmth and energy of the sun, new experiences and creating beautiful memories for others. As an entrepreneur, I bring exactly that: enthusiasm, genuine commitment and a personal touch.
What is your connection to the Costa Blanca?
My love for the Costa Blanca began thanks to my parents, who have a house in Guardamar del Segura. We have been coming there for years and feel completely at home. The relaxed atmosphere, beautiful nature and warm & welcoming culture make this the ideal place to settle down. We can’t wait to actually live there and get to know the region even better while I continue to grow my business.
What are you currently doing as an entrepreneur?
Dutch and international couples dreaming of a wedding on the beautiful Costa Blanca can come to me for a fully organized wedding day or days.
I arrange everything from A to Z, because I know how overwhelming it can be to organize a multi-day wedding abroad. My goal is to make the process smooth and fun so that couples can fully focus on enjoying themselves.
In addition, together with two other entrepreneurs, I organize inspiring workations for women entrepreneurs on the Costa Blanca and on Ibiza. A few days full of focus on your business and celebrating life in beautiful surroundings – an ideal combination!
What does the average work week look like for you?
During the wedding season, I am fully engaged in organizing weddings: making final arrangements with venues and vendors, creating scripts and arranging everything to perfection.
In the off-season, I focus on preparations for the coming year: introductions to new brides and grooms, networking meetings and exploring unique wedding venues.
It’s a nice balance of being creative, networking, organizing and executing unforgettable events.
Do you plan weddings and events for people living in the Netherlands or in Spain?
My business started with helping Dutch and Belgian brides and grooms, since I still live in the Netherlands myself.
But my dream is to help as many brides and grooms as possible, that includes, of course, those already living in the Costa Blanca. A wedding in such beautiful surroundings is truly a special experience that I want to share with as many people as possible!
How do you proceed and what can people expect from you?
Brides and grooms can expect a personal, warm and professional approach from me. From the first contact, I think with them, listen to their wishes and make sure everything is taken care of, down to the smallest details.
Communication is clear, the atmosphere is relaxed and my enthusiasm is always palpable. Together we create not just any wedding, but a real experience that totally suits them & their guests.
What sets you apart from other wedding & event planners?
My strength lies in the unique combination of experience with foreign weddings, a large network in both the Netherlands and the Costa Blanca, and knowledge of local customs and rules.
I know exactly how to combine Spanish charm with the expectations of international brides and grooms. This makes my approach personal, reliable and unforgettable.
What is your biggest challenge and how do you deal with it?
The biggest challenge is that my brides and grooms often live far away. But from experience I know that this does not have to be a problem! Through clear communication and building trust, I make sure that couples feel relaxed, even if they cannot always be physically in Spain.
When they do stop by for site visits, those moments are extra valuable. We get to know each other better, discuss all the details in person and thus build a strong bond. Thanks to my extensive network and experience, the organization runs smoothly – whether couples live around the corner or on the other side of Europe.
What are your ambitions as an entrepreneur?
My ambition is to build a cohesive team of passionate wedding planners and assistants so that we can create even more unique weddings.
In addition, I want to continue to expand my local knowledge by working with the best, professional vendors in the region. Further improving my Spanish is also high on my list, so that I am even more connected to the local culture and cooperation remains smooth and personal. This way I can always offer couples the very best for their dream wedding on the Costa Blanca.
When people think of getting married in Costa Blanca, I hope my name comes to mind first!
Do you have any tips for (starting) entrepreneurs on the Costa Blanca?
Be curious and just dare to do it! Invest in a strong local network, get to know the culture and customs and stay visible. Trust your gut and don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone: that’s where the best things happen.
What are your personal ambitions?
My biggest personal wish is to build a great life in Spain together with my family. I want to make as many brides and grooms as possible happy with their dream wedding and meanwhile enjoy the sunny outdoor life to the fullest myself.
What do you prefer to do in your free time?
I love the sun and the outdoors! Going out with our camper, discovering new places, enjoying good food and drinks with family and friends. I also love to cook: sitting at the table together, having good conversations and enjoying everything that makes life beautiful.
What are the most beautiful places to get married or hold an event on the Costa Blanca?
The Costa Blanca has so many unique places to get married! Think intimate beach locations, atmospheric Spanish fincas with romantic courtyards full of charm and luxury villas with breathtaking views. The best part is that there is a perfect location for every wedding couple. Together we will make it something unforgettable.
