1. To the beach from Jalón
Jalón itself does not have a beach, as it is located a few kilometers inland in the Jalon Valley. Would you still like to go to the beach from here? Then the beaches of Calpe and Moraira, for example, are about a fifteen-minute drive away.

3. Walk through the valley of Jalón
Vall de Pop is thenatural environment surrounding Jalón, it offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape, including mountains, valleys and vineyards. It is an ideal place for walks and bike rides.
4. Visit one of the bodegas
This region is known for its wine production. Visitors can taste and purchase local wines at local wineries, including Bodegues Xaló.
5. Going to the market on Saturday
This market, known as the Rastro de Jalón, attracts locals and tourists alike and is known for its varied offerings.
You can find fresh produce from local farmers, such as vegetables, fruits, honey and olive oil. You can also find delicious delicacies, such as artisan cheeses, sausages and wines. 6. Walk along the waterfalls of Algar
The Algar waterfalls are a popular destination for day trips. Located about a 30-minute drive from Benidorm, the waterfalls offer refreshing baths and a beautiful walk through nature.
7. A day out in the surroundings of Jalón
- Lliber: (a 5-minute drive away) visit neighboring Lliber, a charming village with a rich agricultural tradition. Stroll the old streets, admire the church and taste the local wines in one of the bodegas;
- Benissa: (a 15-minute drive away) discover the historic center of Benissa, with its beautiful mansions and the impressive church Iglesia de la Puríssima Xiqueta. Stroll through the narrow streets and enjoy the atmosphere;
- Calpe: (a 20-minute drive away) enjoy the coastline of Calpe, with its iconic Peñón de Ifach rock. Climb the rock for breathtaking views, relax on the beaches or stroll along the promenade;
- Dénia: (a 30-minute drive away) explore the port city of Dénia, it has a beautiful castle, a lively fish market and long sandy beaches. Take a stroll through the old town or enjoy a delicious meal in one of the many restaurants (on the pier);
- Jávea (Xàbia): (a 30-minute drive away) visit the beautiful coastal town of Jávea, with its beautiful coves and beaches. Visit the historic center, the port and the Cabo de la Nao lighthouse for spectacular views;
- Guadalest: (a 30-minute drive away) visit the mountain village of El Castell de Guadalest. This village clings to the rocks and offers a beautiful castle, a reservoir and breathtaking views of the valley. Also visit the various museums and souvenir shops.

8. See the church in Jalón
Iglesia de Santa María the Church of Santa María is an important historical and religious monument in the center of Jalón. It has a characteristic architecture and is a place of cultural interest.
9. Visit the museum in Jalón
The Ethnological and Archaeological Museum of Jalón(Museo Etnológico de Xaló) offers a compact, interesting dive into local history and culture, from prehistory to the 20th century. This well-maintained museum highlights themes such as agriculture, crafts, drystone building, raisin cultivation and archaeology with also English information boards and videos.
The museum also serves as a cultural center and starting point for heritage trails, and is valued for its good facilities and the valuable insights it offers into the region’s past.
10. See the letter monument of Jalón
The Punto de trobada Xaló is a well-known landmark and meeting point in Jalón. This stone letter monument is located directly opposite the famous bodegas. The point more or less marks the beginning or end of the village, located near a large parking lot.
11. See the old water mills
- Molí de la Tarafa (The mill the crowd): this mill was located on the edge of the road that connected Jalón to Mosquera and Parcent;
- Molí Nou (New mill): it was located on the left side of the river Jalón, adjacent to the current road to Alcanalí;
- Molí del Giner o del Poble (The village or Giner mill): this was the only mill within the village’s built-up area, accessed via the then Molí del Lloc street(now Sant Cristòfol street);
- Molí de Llíber (Lliber mill): Despite a name that might suggest “windmill,” this was a water mill located on the old royal road from Jalón to Llíber (now the Molinet de Llíber road).
