Playa de l’Arenal is Jávea’s most popular beach and is a perfect place to swim and enjoy the bay’s surrounding restaurants and bars.

4. Drive or walk to Cape Sant Antoni
This national park is located at the tip of Jávea, Cabo de San Antonio and the viewpoint at the end offer stunning panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding nature;

The mountain is the centerpiece of the Montgó Natural Park. The area offers many hiking trails and cycling routes. It is an ideal place to explore nature;

At this museum you can discover the history of the region, including the Phoenician and Roman influences. The Museum is located in the historic Casa Palau de Antonio Banyuls.
7. Going to the market in Jávea
- Mercadillo de Xàbia is a large market in the historic center of Jávea, where you can buy local and craft products. This market is open every Thursday from 08:00 to 14:00;
- Mercat Municipal de Xàbia is an indoor market right next to the Parròquia de Sant Bertomeu. Here you will find various stalls selling fresh products such as fish, meat, vegetables and cheese, in addition to several eateries where one can enjoy tapas, fresh local food, coffee or a drink. This market is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the week and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.

8. A day out in the surroundings of Jávea
- Calpe: (about a 20-minute drive) with the iconic Peñón de Ifach towering high above the coastline, Calpe offers a unique blend of natural beauty and vibrant beaches. Climb the rock for panoramic views or relax on the golden sandy beaches;
- Benidorm: (about 30 minutes drive) known for its skyline and vibrant nightlife, Benidorm also offers beautiful boulevards, the Balcón del Mediterráneo with breathtaking views and a charming old town;
- Villajoyosa: (about 45 minutes drive) this colorful coastal town is known for its picturesque waterfront houses and its rich chocolate tradition. Visit Valor’ s chocolate factory and enjoy the atmosphere of the old town;
- El Castell de Guadalest: (about a 45-minute drive) perched high in the mountains, Guadalest offers spectacular views of an azure blue reservoir. Explore the historic castle and unique museums in this charming village;
- Dénia: (about 15 minutes drive) Dénia is a city with a rich history, it has a castle located on a mountain, from where you have beautiful views of the city and the sea. You can also have a good walk along the promenade here, or enjoy the beach.

9. Taking the Ferry to Ibiza
Visit Ibiza with the ferry Balearia from the port of Dénia (which is about a 20-minute drive from Jávea). The trip takes about 2 hours and 15 minutes;
10. Visit the wetlands
El Marjal de Pego-Oliva, just under half an hour from Jávea, is an important habitat for birds and other animals. You can take beautiful walks here and enjoy the peace and quiet;
11. Visit a beautiful garden in the backcountry
Take a short trip (of about 20 minutes) from Jávea and visit L’Albarda Garden, an area of 50,000 square meters and more than 700 native species of flora;

The Algar waterfalls are a popular destination for day trips. Located about a 1-hour drive from Jávea, the waterfalls offer refreshing baths and a beautiful walk through nature:

13. Stroll through the old center of Jávea
The center forms around the Parroquia de Sant Bertomeu. Nearby here you will find the local covered market and the town hall, among others. This center is about 2 kilometers from the port of Jávea.
14. Visit the port of Jávea
Port de Xàbia is a wonderful place to walk along the boats and enjoy the view of the sea. There are many restaurants and bars along the promenade.
15. Visit the church of San Bartolome
Built in the Gothic style, this church has a beautiful courtyard and a Baroque facade. The oldest part dates back to 1304. The main purpose of the church was to protect the inhabitants from attacks from the Mediterranean Sea.
