Mazeland Benidorm – activity for children

Discover this hidden maze in the interior of Benidorm

Looking for a place where the kids can really expend their energy? Leave the beach and the busy boulevard for a while. At the foot of the Sierra Helada Natural Park you will find Mazeland. This is not just any park, but a gigantic green maze where adventure and nature come together.

It is the ideal place for an outdoor activity with the whole family. While the children run through the green paths and find their way, you enjoy the tranquility and the surroundings.

In this article you will read why this labyrinth should be at the top of your list for your next Costa Blanca vacation.

Getting lost among thousands of trees

Mazeland is all about the huge maze. Imagine an area of half a soccer field, planted with more than 5,000 cypress trees. For a child, this is a magical world. The trees tower above them, making them imagine themselves in a green jungle.

The maze is exciting but remains fun for all ages. There are two different routes, each with its own level of difficulty. This makes it suitable for young sleuths, but also for teenagers who like a challenge.

On average, you spend about 40 minutes finding the center point and then the exit. It is a living game in nature where orientation and cooperation are most important.

From dream to reality

Mazeland was not created overnight; it is a project of the long haul. The idea was born back in 2018 with the goal of combining nature, fun and sustainability in a unique spot on the Costa Blanca.

The site has a rich history. In the past, the old terraces(bancales) on this property were used as orange groves. The promoters have respectfully transformed this historic land.

In recent years, a lot of hard work has gone into making the soil fertile and planting Mediterranean cypress trees. These native trees were specifically chosen because they require little water and are fire retardant.

The park is also completely self-sufficient. Thanks to a smart system with solar panels and batteries, the entire park runs on green electricity, without disturbing nature with power lines.

Play and relax safely

Safety comes first, especially in an exciting maze. Although getting lost is the goal, it is nice to know that you can easily exit the labyrinth at any time. Several emergency exits have been made on all sides, so you will always be back outside quickly.

In addition, there is plenty of room to play outside the maze. Mazeland has extensive gardens where children can run around safely, as the grounds are fully fenced.

Rooftop Biergarten

While the kids are on an adventure, you as a parent have a nice place to relax: the Biergarten.

This terrace offers panoramic views of the maze and surrounding Benidorm mountains.

Parties and events

Although the park is a paradise for children, the location also offers many opportunities for special moments. The setting in nature makes it a unique place for celebrations:

  • Children’s parties: celebrate a birthday complete with maze scavenger hunts and entertainment, safe and fully catered;

  • Events for adults: think company outings focused on team building, weddings in the amphitheater or cozy get-togethers in the Biergarten.

Mazeland is the domain of playing children during the day, but transforms effortlessly into an atmospheric venue for adult parties and celebrations.
