1. To the beach in Moraira
The beaches are named in order from east to west. Blue flag beaches are designated with a blue 🔷 sign:
- Playa del Portet🔷: a beautiful sandy beach surrounded by hills and a picturesque bay. Known for its calm waters, this beach is ideal for swimming and relaxation;
- Playa de l’Ampolla🔷: a large beach in the center of Moraira with fine sand and clear waters. This beach offers various facilities and water sports;
- Cala L’Andragó: a small cove with clear waters surrounded by rocky formations. It is a beautiful place for snorkeling;
- Cala Punta Estrella: this cove is surrounded by cliffs and offers beautiful sea views. It is a secluded spot for those seeking peace and privacy.

3. To the fish market
Mercat del Peix, located at the port, is a lively place where you can buy fresh fish and seafood daily;
4. Going to the market on Friday
The ‘Friday Market’ in Moraira can be found in the large parking lot behind the sports fields. It is a cozy market with over a hundred stalls where you can find everything: fresh fruits and vegetables, clothes, shoes, bags, souvenirs, local products and much more. This market is open from 09:00 to 13:30.

5. Visit Sierra Helada natural park
This park is a popular destination for hikers and nature lovers. It offers spectacular views of the Costa Blanca coastline.
6. Walk along the waterfalls of Algar
The Algar waterfalls are a popular destination for day trips. Located about a 45-minute drive from Moraira, the waterfalls offer refreshing baths and a beautiful walk through nature.

7. A day out in the Moraira area
- Teulada: (a 10-minute drive away) explore the authentic Spanish village of Teulada, located inland. Wander the historic streets, admire the Gothic church of Santa Caterina and visit the local market. Enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding vineyards and mountains from the top of the hill;
- Jávea (Xàbia): (a 20-minute drive away) discover the versatility of Jávea, with its three distinct areas: the old town, the port and Arenal beach. Visit the impressive church of San Bartolomé in the old town, stroll along the bustling port promenade and relax on Arenal’s sandy beach. Explore the impressive Cabo de la Nao, Spain’s easternmost point;
- Calpe: (a 25-minute drive away) be impressed by the Peñón de Ifach, the rock that towers high above Calpe and is a symbol of the Costa Blanca. Climb the rock for breathtaking views, explore the historic town center and enjoy the delicious seafood restaurants in the harbor;
- Dénia: (a 30-minute drive away) let yourself be surprised by the lively town of Dénia, with its rich history and cultural attractions. Visit the castle of Dénia, which towers over the city, and stroll through the atmospheric district of Baix la Mar, the former fishing quarter. Enjoy the long sandy beaches, the bustling marina and the many gourmet restaurants.

Letras de Moraira is located right next to Castell de Moraira, in the square where Escultura (sculpture) “Gigante de Sal” also stands.
9. Visit the center of Moraira
This is located around Plaça del Tresmall. On the north side you will find the sports fields, on the east side is an area with many restaurants and bars and also the church of Moraira called Santa Maria dels Desemparats de Moraira. On the south side you walk towards the beach and the port of Moraira. On the west side is the Moraira dog park.
10. Stroll along the boardwalks
Moraira does not have a traditional long promenade, but it does have beautiful promenades along the coast:
- Along Playa de l’Ampolla: on the north side of this beach you will find a promenade with palm trees, benches and a bike path. Ideal for walking or cycling with a view of the sea. There are also a few restaurants and bars with terraces;
- In the marina: around the marina runs a promenade with a cozy atmosphere. You will find several restaurants, bars and ice cream parlors where you can enjoy the view of the boats;
- Along Playa del Portet: at this beach is a smaller boardwalk with a few restaurants and a beautiful view of the bay.
11. See the port of Moraira
Moraira Port, is a cozy place, where the traditional fishing port seamlessly merges into a modern marina. The Moraira Yacht Club, with a rich history since 1975, plays a crucial role in promoting water sports and providing port services. With some 750 members and a wide range of activities such as sailing, diving and fishing, the club has an important role in Moraira’s nautical life.
12. View the Santa Maria dels Desemparats de Moraira
This is an important religious and historic church in the heart of Moraira. Originally a hermitage, the current church was built between 1875 and 1878 and officially a parish church in 1974.
13. View Castillo de Moraira
This castle, although not in the traditional sense, is rather a fortified mansion. It stands on a hill and offers a panoramic view of the city and the sea. It is an important historical monument.
14. Stroll through the park in Moraira
Moraira Park is located just above Moraira Dog Park. The park consists of beautiful large palm trees.
15. View Escultura de Gigante de Sal
This impressive sculpture in Moraira was created by the artist duo Coderch and Malavia. It was unveiled in March 2022 and is located in the square near the castle of Moraira, directly on the Mediterranean Sea.
16. The view from Torre de Vigilancia de Cap d’Or.
This old watchtower, located at the tip of Cap d’Or promontory, offers stunning views of Moraira’s coastline.
