‘Tasta Xàbia’ or in other words, taste Javea. Enjoy delicious tapas and get to know restaurants and bars in Javea.

This new event is being organized for the first time this year (2024) by the business associations of the 3 regions in Javea in collaboration with Forxa (the association of shopkeepers) and ARX (the association of restaurants).

Pulse for restaurants & bars in Javea

The organization wants to use Tasta Xàbia to boost the region and the hospitality industry in Javea. They invite everyone to enjoy this experience, support local businesses and actively participate in choosing the best tapa. You pay €4 per tapa (including a drink).

Participating restaurants & bars

This gastronomic tapas route unites the three urban centers in Javea: the historic center, Duanes de la Mar (the port) and Playa de Arenal. Together this provides mno less than 23 local entrepreneurs who are participating in Tasta Xàbia. Below is the full list of participating restaurants and bars including named the tapa they offer:

Xàbia Historic Center:

  • Bendita Chulería: taco pastor;
  • La Carneceria Jávea: smoked pork taco;
  • Casa Grau Bistro: pico de gallo with shrimp and avocado;
  • Desnivell: mini-hamburger;
  • El Convent Restaurant: artichoke with serrano;
  • Bar Mercat: leeks with romesco sauce;
  • Embruix: artichoke tapa;
  • Isabor: Venezuelan tapa;
  • La Parrilla del Celler: eggplant, honey, goat cheese and polenta;
  • La Trastienda Wine & Tapas Bar: tapa gilda;
  • Mavita Restaurant: pollo mavita;
  • Olivo y Laurel Restaurant: octopus and shrimp salad;
  • Palma Tapas Bar: artichoke and Iberian dacsa coca;
  • Tavern Santa Coqueta: coqueto al foie;
  • Temblor Bar fusion tapas: crispy plantain with shrimp;
  • El Bancalet: anchovies in vinegar with salmorejo.

Duanes del Mar (the port):

  • Cala Viuda Bar & Restaurant: ribs with roasted sweet potato;
  • K. Ricco: sobrasada croquette dipped in honey and mahón flakes;
  • Picoteo Port: fish omelet;
  • Noray Restaurant: steak tartare;
  • Titanic: marinated tuna.

Playa de Arenal:

  • Club de Golf Restaurant: honey brioche;
  • Parador Restaurant: salad with shrimp, mayonnaise and avocado.

Win a dinner voucher

Through the APP you can also vote for your favorite tapa. By doing so, you have a chance to win a check of 200 or 400 euros. You can use this check afterwards at the participating restaurants and bars. To participate, you must taste at least three tapas.
