Waarvoor kan ik terecht bij een VVV-kantoor?
De medewerkers van een officieel Tourist Info kantoor zijn er om je te ondersteunen bij allerlei praktische zaken.
Je kunt hier terecht voor actuele adressen van de dichtstbijzijnde huisartsenposten of apotheken die buiten de reguliere uren geopend zijn.
Daarnaast bieden zij hulp bij het begrijpen van lokale regels rondom parkeren of afvalverwerking en voorzien ze je van betrouwbare informatie over het openbaar vervoer, zoals de vertrektijden van de lokale treinen en bussen.
Wat moet ik doen bij verlies of diefstal van eigendommen?
Wanneer je je paspoort of andere persoonlijke eigendommen verliest, fungeert het VVV-kantoor als een eerste aanspreekpunt voor begeleiding.
De medewerkers kunnen je precies vertellen waar het dichtstbijzijnde politiebureau (Policía Local of Guardia Civil) zich bevindt voor het doen van aangifte.
Ook beschikken zij vaak over een overzicht van de lokale gevonden voorwerpen en kunnen zij helpen met het overbruggen van een eventuele taalbarrière tijdens het contact met de autoriteiten.
In welke talen word ik geholpen bij deze kantoren?
De meeste toeristenbureaus langs de Costa Blanca zijn goed ingesteld op internationale bezoekers en bieden ondersteuning in meerdere talen.
Naast het Spaans spreken de meeste medewerkers uitstekend Engels en vaak ook Frans of Duits.
In de grotere badplaatsen of bij de meer centrale kantoren is er regelmatig ook Nederlandstalige informatie beschikbaar of een medewerker aanwezig die deze taal beheerst.
Hoe zien de openingstijden van de kantoren er doorgaans uit?
Het is belangrijk om rekening te houden met de typische Spaanse dagindeling waarbij de meeste kantoren een middagsluiting hanteren voor de siësta.
Vaak zijn de deuren gesloten tussen 14:00 en 17:00 uur, hoewel dit per gemeente kan verschillen. Veel kantoren hebben echter een digitale informatiezuil aan de buitenkant van het pand waar je ook buiten de openingstijden de meest noodzakelijke praktische informatie kunt opzoeken.
Helpt het VVV-kantoor ook bij medische vragen?
Hoewel de medewerkers zelf geen medische handelingen verrichten, kunnen zij je wel direct wegwijs maken in het lokale zorgsysteem.
Zij informeren je over welk publiek ziekenhuis of welke post voor spoedeisende hulp (Urgencias) op dat moment het meest nabij is.
Ook kunnen zij uitleggen hoe je jouw Europese zorgpas (EHIC) kunt gebruiken bij de lokale medische voorzieningen om onnodige kosten te voorkomen.
