Alas! The Vuelta is NOT coming to the Costa Blanca again this year (2025). Last week the course was presented.
Vuelta Ciclista de España or Tour of Spain is a multi-day cycling race held annually. Along with the Tour de France and the Giro d’Italia, it is among the three largest cycling tours in the world.
No stages on the Costa Blanca in 2025
The 80th edition of the Vuelta goes from Italy, Venaria Reale in the Piedmont region. There, the first 3 stages will take place. The remainder of the round will be ridden mainly in the north of Spain. A number of stages will be ridden around Valladolid and Madrid, where, like last year, the final stage will also be held.
History of the Vuelta on the Costa Blanca
These are the years when the Costa Blanca region welcomed the Vuelta:
- In 1964, 1987 and 2011 in Benidorm;
- In 1973 in Calpe;
- In 1977 in Degene de Campoamor;
- In 2021 in Alicante and Santa Pola;
- In 2023 in Dénia.
As soon as the route for the 81st edition of the Vuelta in 2026 is known, we will let you know if you will be able to follow the tour on the Costa Blanca.
